Taking care of our customers and going above and beyond what they need for truly excellent customer service is part of our job. Customers genuinely appreciate that kind of service. But, we can also show appreciation by acknowledging them as more than just clients. That’s because, in the long run, we are developing relationships with people we genuinely care about and want to work with.
One of the ways we like to show appreciation to our clients is to send them our annual holiday card. Sending out a holiday card is a great way to convey your heartfelt message to your customer. Remember, sending a letter or card goes beyond the usual announcements and posts on social media.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with posting holiday memes and messages on social media. But we recognize that sending a card in the mail stands out more these days because people already see so much online. And, it’s also a great way to maintain top-of-mind awareness through the holiday season. So it’s a very different touchpoint compared to mobile devices and desktop computers. So the holiday card is a good thing since the holiday card has to be physically opened and read.
Just this Thanksgiving, one of our friends/clients, Pals Ocala Auto Repair, filmed a fantastic holiday video. In the video, the entire crew thanks their jobs, each other, and their clients. So, for example, suppose you want to go one better than a holiday card (and you’re not shy about standing and taking in front of the camera). In that case, a personally recorded video message on your phone will catch some attention. This type of message will stand out on social media or if emailed to your customer.
