Our Origin Story

Rock Star Marketing is a digital marketing agency located in Monterey, CA. The agency began when Jennifer Filzen decided to use her talents and knowledge she gained as a budding musician to provide superior marketing service to those in need.

Jen got her start in marketing after the release of her first album, Sirena, back in 2007. Being a small-town singer/songwriter from Monterey, she knew she had to put all that she had into marketing her album to get her music heard. Because of her extraordinary ability as an online marketer, her songs eventually topped the international charts, and she became a Grammy-qualified artist.

Since then, Jen has worked diligently as a copywriter, content writer, and social media marketer to grow her business into a full-fledged digital marketing agency. Jen now puts her talents and lessons to work at Rock Star Marketing, passionately helping small businesses get the recognition they deserve.
